Be Yourself
It is important that you could express yourself in a way that is most honest and comfortable for you. In this way, you are able to build a sense of confidence in dealing with your own self and towards others.

Be Organized
Have a definite plan of action. Be clear about your objectives, look ahead, prepare before hand.

Be Flexible
Be ready to adjust in a moment’s notice. Some things may not work the way you thought it would.

Be Open
Respect the uniqueness of each person. Listen to their feelings and ideas even if you don’t agree with them. At the same time, be ready to challenge positions that are unclear.

Be Happy
Enjoy your work, the company of people. Be positive. Take it easy on yourself.

BELIEVE.
Believe that God is at work in all your activities. Remember the Lasallian Prayer — Live It. Believe in the people with whom you are privileged to share the living faith.

LOL! I received some really cheesy love quotes in my inbox today. So, before i eat something cheesy that will surely entail some generic adipex diet later on - let me share those cheesy quotes.

“Goodbyes hurt you more than anything…
especially when deep down you know…
you will never say hello again.”

“Love makes you hold on to things you shouldn’t, but who are we to know any better?”

“How i wish falling in love has traffic lights too…
So that i would know if i should go for it…
Slow down or just stop.”

There… cheese anyone??? Oh, that reminds me. I still have leftover cheese from last Christmas. I probably will make spaghetti this weekend. Hmnnn…

Hayyy… it’s a long day today…

An Inspiration

When you linger in the shadows of despair and deep unrest
When you’re torn betwixt so many paths
And know not which is best,
When you think you’re all alone
And in your sadness you would cry….
Remember friend,
God wipes away the tears from every eye!
When your burden seems too heavy
And an aching fills your heart
When you find that there’s so much to do
And know not where to start,
When your troubles and your sorrows
Cause that helpless weary sigh….
Remember friend,
God wipes away the tears from every eye!
When you’ve won through in your battle
And the race of Life is run,
When the hurdles have been crossed
And painful tasks and hardships done,
When one day you look back smiling
And the time for rest draws nigh,
You will truly know
God wipes away the tears from every eye!

Got this prayer in my inbox today. After ‘Ondoy’, another typhoon ‘Empeng’ is coming, the last thing we would want. Let’s do all pray together.

Our Father in heaven, we humbly pray to you as a nation.
We plead to Your merciful heart that You may look upon us with compassion.
We pray for our brothers who have lost their lives today.
Receive them in Your Heavenly kingdom.
We pray for those who are lost and those trying to get home to their family.
Make their way easy.
We pray for those who have lost their homes.
Give them comfort.
We pray for those who are still exposed to the bad conditions and awaiting help.
Give them strength.
Everything we do for our unfortunate brethren, we offer to You and Your Glory.
All this we pray in the most Holy Name of Jesus, AMEN.

‘Why do we shout in anger?’ A saint asked his disciples, ‘Why do we shout in anger? Why do people shout at each other when they are upset?’

His disciples thought for a while, one of them said, ‘Because we lose our calm, we shout for that.’

‘But, why do you shout when the other person is just next to you?’ asked the saint. ‘Isn’t it possible to speak to him or her with a soft voice? Why do you shout at a person when you’re angry?’

Disciples gave some other answers but none satisfied the saint.

Finally he explained, ‘When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other through that great distance.’

Then the saint asked, ‘What happens when two people fall in love? They don’t shout at each other but talk softly, why? Because their hearts are very close. The distance between them is very small…’

The saint continued, ‘When they love each other even more, what happens?

They do not speak, only whisper and they get even closer to each other in their love. Finally they even need not whisper, they only look at each other and that’s all. That is how close two people are when they love each other.

‘MORAL’ said the saint: ‘When you argue do not let your hearts get distant, do not say words that distance each other more, else there will come a day when the distance is so great that you will not find the path to return!’

The Winner – is always part of the answer.
The Loser – always a part of the problem.
The Winner – always has a program.
The Loser – always has an excuse.
The Winner – says: “Let me do it for you.”
The Loser – says” “That is not my job.”
The Winner – sees an answer for every problem.
The Loser – sees a problem in every answer.
The Winner – sees a green in every sand trap.
The Loser – sees two or three sand traps near every green.
The Winner – says, “It may be difficult but it is possible.”
The Loser – says, It may be possible but it is difficult.”

Dr. Kurt Emmerich was a surgeon in the German army. He tells the following story of an experience he had on the Russian front. Thousands of wounded soldiers passed through his hands as he operated a field hospital but one of them he will never forget.

He was a young man who had come in with much of his face blown off. The surgeon went to work for many days to repair the face as best he could by a series of skin transplant and the like.

In the final phase of the plastic surgery the doctor sutured together the remaining corner of the patient’s mouth. The attendant then helped the wounded soldier into a sitting position. Because the local anesthetic still kept the pain at a distance, the doctor then told him, “Now let us hear you say something with that mouth.”

The young soldier moved his lips around carefully and then with his first smile formulated his first words: “THANK YOU.”
