Sweet Serenity

Uhmmnn… i’ve been receiving gifts lately… pasalubongs and late christmas presents.

According to the old cliche - early bird catches the worm. I’m always late but somehow i still catch the worms. When i arrive in the office, all laid are snacks and gifts. Thanks to my ever dynamic seatmate who never fails to set aside portions for me. Thanks to Jonalyna (fresh from Singapore) for the cute pink blouse and for the cute item from Romania. Thanks to Charo for the other cute item. And thanks to Melody for the food. (Meloy) I shall expect another present from Michigan, ok? hehe.

i was somewhere… far from the city. It is a very rejuvenating experience. I will talk more about it later… watch out for some exciting photos!

Time flies huh!?

I think the phrase brown out is largely used only in my country. For other places, it is rather called as blackout. We only use blackout when the whole of the city has no electricity. Whichever the case, i’m glad that in the office, especially in the lab, it is equipped with emergency light so everyone can still keep up if there are blackouts. I usually stay late so imagine my horror if suddenly there’s brownout and i’m all alone in the lab! Scary right!? It’s good that there’s some back-ups. I think that’s part of the requirements for any ISO related matters.

I really have to scoot now. My friends are waiting!

A watch. One of the things i’m not comfortable without. One of the things i wish to collect. One of the things i treasure. One of the things i’m fascinated about. Really, if i have that much much money in the world. I’d buy watches of all colors and designs to match whatever i wear in a day. I don’t mean to be flashy and all. I guess it’s all about my addiction of matching colors. Lol! Somebody once asked me “hey, why would you buy another watch when i’ve seen you’ve got a couple already?” I simply said “just because.” Have you seen the TW Steel watches? Geez, i want to have one or two or more! Arrggh!

This photo was taken last March 01, 2008 during our section outing in Portofino Beach Resort. ‘Twas a great day for we had a blast capturing pictures using one of my colleagues’ SLR camera. Sad to say, 3 of the girls in the picture are no longer my officemates. They had left and are working for different companies now. I sure miss the girls and the fun. Hope to have a fun filled summer with them again.

Hayy.. since late of last year until these days, it’s been pretty hectic in the office. Lots of things to do and submission dates are really tight. Just last week, 3 projects have to run simultaneously and i couldn’t get hold of the test set-up all together. I had to spare the laptop issued to me so that it could be used in one of the test set-ups. I’m just glad the application worked and didn’t have some issues running. I hope i can report to work early tomorrow. I have so many reports to furnish and i have to be out early because i’ll be meeting 3 of my former colleagues. Yey! They’ll treat us to dinner.

My oh my! Have i been left out already? One of my friends just delivered her first baby. I’m happy for her of course. I asked myself - why is everyone i know either getting married or having babies? Then i realized, it has to do with my age. See, I guess i’m at the time of my life where i should start looking to settle down. At least that’s what the old folks say and what the world in general intend to happen. But I think i have a different path to lead. Maybe it’s too early to tell but i’m crossing my fingers. Earlier today, i also saw a college friend who’s looking very sexy just like when we were in school. I was surprised when she told me that she just had her 2nd baby. She whispered her secret. She says it’s some weight loss pills coupled with healthy diet and exercise. Well, i don’t have the discipline that they have so that explains why i’m not loosing a pound. I haven’t visited my friend, i’m curious as to whom the baby got her looks.

One of the things that I aspire aside from travelling is to have my own humble abode. It doesn’t necessarily have to be big nor grand. As always, I go for what is simple and functional. I only wish though that it has a big walk-in closet and that it’s equipped with the latest gadget for my pastimes which are watching movies and blogging. A friend sent me some photos of her living room and i was a bit envious of what she had. She has a whooping Rackmount lcd and she even gloated how nice it is. Someday soon, i’ll have mine, hehe. For the meantime, my old tv still works and the laptop monitor is still fine.

A friend just asked me whether or not i still continue with my diet program. She further asked what’s the best diet pills available in the market today? I wish i knew the answer but i don’t because i don’t even stick to my own diet program, lol! I’m just good at the start but i tend to be a slack thereafter. It would get pretty useless for me. So what i really try to do is to walk my way to the zone gate from the company gate. Even so, it’s not enough. I really have to be serious now. Summer is coming!!! I think i have this mantra everytime but a heap of summertime has gone by yet i never ever gained my dream figure! Aw!
