If the lechon (roasted pig) is the main dish on every Pinoy occasion, turkey takes the crown on every American occasion especially on Thanksgiving Day. :)

Turkey dishes are not very common in PI. I tried having it once or twice from before (as our neighbor used to have turkeys in their backyard) and i can’t remember how it tasted. They say it tastes like chicken, even better than chicken in fact.

Happy thanksgiving to all my friends and colleagues out there in the US. :) As one of my supervisors in MI have said, most are off already as early as Monday.

And happy shopping to all the ladies this Black Friday! ;)

Not the kind you’re thinking though. This is just a post in relation to my previous entry. One time i just thought of typing my name in the “search” box of this social networking site, facebook. I was surprised to see that the search result give out two profiles of mine. My name’s spelled exactly the same except that the other one has no profile pic. I tried to click it but its setting is private. I contemplated and then i realized i must have created a profile from before which i have forgotten. I tried to search my name again using all of my email addresses that i can remember. Voila! After 3 tries, i got the correct email address which i used when i register the old account.

I tried to login but i could not remember the password. And i could not reset the password because the new password will be mailed to the login email add which is already inactive (which is another story). In essence, i could not retrieve the new password. So, all i did is try all possible password that i may have used. Luckily, i got it right after 3 tries. I was able to login and learned that i only got 1 friend. LOL! But i do have more than 40 friend requests. The senders must have thought i was being a snob for not accepting their invites. Sorry folks but you just invited the all-forgotten-profile of mine. Anyways, i tried to invite them back using my active profile.

I have always wondered why i can see my name under the category “you might know these people”… i didn’t have to invite and befriend myself right? Turned out i have two profiles! Toinks! :D

They say (and i agree) that a woman can never have too many shoes. Must really be because whenever i check my friends’ dens online, be blogs or social networking sites, it never run out of pictures or stories about shoes. And i couldn’t complain because i too, love shoes. I’m really not a brand conscious. As long as the shoe looks good, fits good and worth my money, i’d take it home. I’m interested however in purchasing Naot shoes. I don’t have a pair of this brand yet so i’m thinking of owning one. Now, i’m just hinting you on what to give me this Christmas. ;) Speaking of, i haven’t submitted my codename yet for the Kris Kringle! Tsk! And was i just talking too about shoes in my previous post? :D

I studied highs chool in an autonomous public school. But contrary to what it suggests being a public school, I would rather say that most of my classmates came from well-off families. The rest of my sisters studied in a different public high school. My father used to sew shoe covers for my sisters so they would not have to clean a very dirty classroom all the time. We also had chores of cleaning our classrooms then. Maybe, it was easier if we had some disposable shoe covers too. It just came to my mind when i saw my high school classmates online and saw an old shoe cover from my sister earlier today before i left home. Can we use that in the lab at work? May be not. We need a different type of shoes.

Don’t feel too good today. I’m having my about with allergy rhinitis since Saturday. I should not have stopped from using my drops but i’m buying the idea of not having to depend on medicine. So, here i am -runny nose everyone?

The work space does not help either. Can i request for air filters inside the lab? The exhaust from the aircon unit is too bad. You add to that the invisible fumes from the equipment, surely not a healthy environment.

I really want to be absent from work but i’m too concerned about an old project who just sprouts out of the blue! Can be annoying…

Annual Physical Exam. Usually held on the first Friday of the month. I’m a July baby so i should have taken my exam last July then. Apparently i did not or was not able to do so because of the following:

- the nurses told me it’s almost 4:00pm and that there are still a lot of people in queue for the doctor’s checkup. Simply meant they would not cater me anymore for that day.
- the next month, i got my monthly visitor. Can’t do with the urine sample.
- the next next month, i arrived late.
- the next next next month, i got lazy.

Finally, last Friday, i had my APE. Solely because i don’t want to receive a warning for violating the Red Book. :D

The eye doctor told me i should have worn my glasses. Astigmatism on my both eyes are high. It wasn’t the last time i had an eye check-up.

Got the lab results today. I’m anemic as expected. Normal hemoglobin count for females is 12-15. Mine is? 12.6 - yayks! just 0.6 and i’d drop from the normality.

I’ve always thought there’s something wrong with my heart or lungs but the report said they’re fine.

But i’m gonna go to a private clinic next time. I wan’t my gallbladder checked again. It must be real or just my paranoia but i think the 1.3cm stone they saw last time is taking it’s toll already. Now that sounds creepy. :D

Yay! It’s party time (almost)! Then again, i can’t believe we are nearing to it. A few officemates (thanks to their efforts) have started organizing for the department Christmas party already. Then there will be the company wide party and maybe our section party. I’m not sure of the latter though since me and my teammates haven’t talked about it yet. I love Christmas not because i’m a party animal. It’s the warmth of happiness that exudes from almost everywhere, from almost everyone that excites me. It’s just overwhelming. The downside - weight gain. And to tell you the truth, i can’t afford to gain another kilos. I’m too overweight to begin with! Should diet pills come handy? I’m not sure but a friend has been convincing me this afternoon to try this particular product. We’ll, let’s just see.

Imagine how the idea of food lift my spirit? Now i’m not sleepy. Lol! :D

I hail from a tropical country. Must be the reason why i like to experience winter season. It’s the winter clothes that attract me most. I love cutey boots like the UGG Cardy boots and i love scarves and coats. I always wanted to wear a complete set of this winter wardrobe but how can I? When i was in Michigan last time, winter was about to end and it’s no use for me to buy any winter garments. When I went to Hongkong last December, i won’t be able to use again the winter coat had i bought one? Then again, can’t help myself and i bought scarves and boots. Well, i can use the scarves here but the boots? I use them sometimes on Fridays. Nobody gets to notice it! :)

Now, it’s getting cold already in Michigan, i’m sure i’ll be envious with my friends’ winter clothes when i see their pictures…
