I’ve seen from my favorite lifestyle show on TV about how someone manages to have her house rearranged/renovated for the seventh time already since it was built. Each renovation would mean a different theme, depending on her recent mood. But the owner said, this year has been the best so far. It might take a while before she changes it into something else. Her architect did a great job of converting her garage floor into a chic but functional entertainment room. The house is not really that huge but she was able to maximize the space and got her current dream look. I think it’s the best part of the whole renovation thing. I think too that it’s cool to be living in a house that changes its look every now and then. Ain’t that costly? Well, if you have the money, why not?

My mother keeps on complaining how her legs and joints are aching. I hope I can find some joint health supplements for her. I hate to admit that I think I need it too, lol! Whew! Am I that old already? Not really, but maybe it’s because I don’t exercise a lot. Chances are, one move I’d feel a twitch between my joint. Earlier, I watched the basketball league at the office and I was sitting at the officials table. It’s a pity that I can’t move my legs immediately in and out of the bench. And did I hear something crack? Yay! Seriously, I even get tired easily just strapping my shoe. Waah help! I gotta start exercising now. And I seriously need to loss weight too! Geezzz.

I’m considering getting back to graduate school. Maybe this time, i’d loss weight. Heheh!

can’t wait to eat!

Yay! Food trip again! I went there not once but twice (oi I sounded like Ate V). First went to the Kadaugan sa Mactan Food Festival last Friday. On Saturday, I persuaded another friend to go with me. I came back for the “bibingka” which I didn’t buy on Friday. It was yummy. It didn’t taste like the good old bibingka from the province. It tastes like a chewy leche flan. I like it though! I could have eaten it all but I saved some for my mother. I should never think of those best diet pills if I vow to keep on eating. But hey, I have a good excuse. The festival happens only once a year so spare me all right. Just for this time. :D

I should run as twice tomorrow. Assuming! And it’s a very bad idea. From what I read, running does not permit anyone to eat more. Heheh! And crap, I really don’t run, do i. I barely walk. Lol! Thanks Rai for the photo.

A woman can never have too many shoes. Each pair of shoe comes with a different dress. And a woman can never wear the same shoes everyday. Ok unless if it’s a uniform or something. And I’m not saying it should be. For all we know some people don’t even have a pair of slippers. Ok, rephrase. Let’s just say, in a perfect world, a woman can never have too many shoes. Of course we can’t! Every season, every occasion, every whatever, there’s the particular shoes. And now that it’s summer, I very much like this flat sandals from Cole Haan, it’ll surely match my sundress. Why do I have to match everything?? Arrgh!

Honestly, this post is to simply admit an addiction. Heheh! But believe me, there was a time in my life when I only have a single pair of shoe. It’s a long story. But as fate would have it, I can now buy more than one pair of shoe. (char!) Oopps no, I didn’t marry a Prince nor win in a lottery! I wished that happened though. Simply because I now have a job and one way or another, I can give in to some weaknesses.

I’m not a fan of cosmetic surgery. Not only because I can’t afford it, I can’t stand the surgery itself! Ewww! Just think of those needles, etc. I can’t even stand pricking blackheads on my nose, let alone surgery! Yay! But right now, I’m sure there are non-evasive ways of reducing body fats or losing weight that’s available for everybody already. It’s probably just a matter of choosing what suits you best. Variety of them comes in capsules or tablets and powders even. But before taking anything, always ask an expert and read reviews. Here’s an example: lipozene review may help you decide what to choose. As for me, I’d still say, I’ll do it natural way. Problem is, i’m lazy! And now I’m sleepy. Seriously, read labels and reviews. It helps. Not that I’m a pro about health and stuff but it’s what some other friends are telling me and I think it’s just true.

Awhile ago during dinner, my colleagues and I were talking about how corrupt our government is. We talked about personal experiences and encounters that clearly entail corruption. It is widespread wherever. As long as you have the dough to pay for the “extra fees”, you’ll get documents signed in no time. But I guess everyone wants things done the faster way so we pay our way out. We are feeding corruption. So, who’s to blame?

So anyways, from that topic we ventured to talking about working on government offices. They say that government employees get bonuses way bigger than the private employees. It must be true because my friend’s friend decided to keep her job at a government office. She would rather take admin jobs even if it’s not too related to her college degree than work on a private company where she could probably practice her profession. It leaves me to thinking – what’s more important? Salary or the nature of your job? Guess you’re lucky if you have both aspects covered. What about me? You have to let me contemplate more on that. Heheh!

A friend of mine texted me sometime ago and asked me what else could she ask for from her boyfriend for a gift. Her birthday’s coming up then. Told her to ask for a ps3 but she said she doesn’t play. So, I told her to sell it and get the money she earned from it to shop for clothes. Isn’t that a wise idea? Heheh!

I myself don’t play this stuff so when an old friend of mine talked about it enthusiastically, had to stop her otherwise she’d be talking to someone who doesn’t have a clue. It must be fun to play though. Lots of my colleagues are gathering every now and then to play. Would you believe that I only play Solitaire on my PC? Lol! That’s the only game I know! Hahah! (And that doesn’t even account to any computer games.) :P

In going to Bantayan, it would be better if you have your own vehicle or service to transfer you from Cebu City to Hagnaya Port in Bogo. You may opt to load the car in the Roro - which I think is not necessary since you can just walk if you want to do resort hopping. I’m not sure how much the rate is. Or you may just leave your car in parks for 100pesos/day. You may want to visit estatecarinsurance.com and check if any untoward events during these times are covered. I looked at some of the cars parked and oh boy, they’re awesome! It’s as if they were on a car display. Ah the rides of the rich and famous.

We could have saved some time from waiting in line for the bus/vhire if we use our friend’s car but we thought it would be a long drive and we will all be tired when we get back from the island. Anyways, the waiting is bearable. Shipping lines and bus lines are operating 24 hours non-stop. But honestly I have to shove some people so I could get on the line. Heheh! Tsk bad!

I’m back from a four-day vacation! Well, not entirely but I’m off from work for 4 days straight. The weekend, that’s a given, plus we’re off last Thursday and Friday for the Lenten season.

So, the getaway to Bantayan Island did push through. The trip going there wasn’t that easy and comfortable. There were lots of passengers – some were going home to spend the time with their families for those who are working in the city but most were tourists. It took us one and a half hour of waiting before we finally got settled in a vhire. We were supposed to take a bus but we’re too precious and minute (with big bags) to hurdle the battalion of passengers who like us were too eager to get a ride and too impatient to just wait for people to diminish in number – which never happened. I will share the details of our trip in my other blog.

I wasn’t that excited for the room we reserved but luckily I wasn’t that bad. I peeked at one of their beach front rooms and I think I like the stone sink inside if I was not mistaken as I was too sleepy when we arrived. As usual I never slept the night before the trip. When I arrived home from work, I took a bath, packed my things and went to the bus terminal. Tell you more about the story later.

Well, how was your holy week?

O yah! Another long weekend awaits me this weekend! We’re off this Friday and I’m thinking of filing a leave this Thursday! Ssshhh!

jesus
